We are not generalists. Our primary focus is ASP.NET web and software development.
The list of technical skills below are certainly not a complete representation of our technical depth as a company. As noted below, we have been implementing solutions around this technology for our entire company history.
Adage has been developing web sites and web applications using the .NET Framework from the initial version 1.0 to 3.5 today. We first used .NET in late 2001 during its beta release and have continued to develop over 60 web sites and software applications using ASP.NET. While our preferred development language is C#.NET, we have extensive experience working with and converting code from scripted ASP, ColdFusion, and VB.NET.
Prior to our work with .NET, Adage was developing applications with various scripting languages and SQL Server as the primary data repository. We have worked with versions 7.0, 2000, 2005, and 2008 of SQL Server. Additionally, we have converted and migrated many applications from Access or other data stores to various versions of SQL Server.
If your application or corporate standards require Oracle to be the data repository for the application, we have experience building mission critical, complicated ASP.NET applications with Oracle.
Team Foundation Server
Visual Source Safe served as the default source control for the Microsoft development community over many years. However, source control has evolved to much more. Adage began using Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2005 following its initial release. We have not looked back. TFS 2005 and 2008 provide not only source control but programmer task assignment, defect management, and code branching.
CSLA.NET is an application development framework that reduces the cost of building and maintaining applications. The framework relies on object oriented design to create powerful n-tier applications. All of Adage's custom software applications are multi-tier enabled and can easily scale as your application growth requires.
Internet Information Server
Internet Information Server (IIS) provides Internet-based services for Microsoft Windows Servers. IIS is a necessary component for any web site or application utilizing .NET. Currently in its 7.0 version, Adage has been running web sites on IIS since the 4.0 version.
