Career Development
Adage Technologies is a very team-oriented organization in which great importance is placed on career development. We strive to ensure every employee travels their own path to success.
Training
Adage Technologies, being a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, promotes the successful completion of the Microsoft certifications for all of its employees. In order to reach this goal, all training materials are provided and paid for by Adage. Our training goals do not end with an employee earning his/her certifications. All employees are encouraged to pursue their own interests in the field, along with keeping up to date on all of the latest technologies. Training in disciplines related to development like database, front-end / UI design, and management are encouraged and reimbursed.
Learning Environment
Adage Technologies relies heavily on its strong learning environment to better develop every employee. This includes peer-mentoring by more experienced developers. Senior employees use their skill and knowledge to aid in the development of entry- and junior-level personnel. On a weekly basis the office gets together for lunch, followed by a developers meeting in which one member of the team facilitates a discussion on topics ranging from new methodologies, new technology, coding instruction, book reviews, etc. In addition, Adage implements scheduled peer code reviews. Code reviews encourage our developers to meet and share ideas on programming. It is an opportunity to explore different approaches to common programming problems and ensure our customers are getting the best practices in web and software development.
Performance Review
Another important aspect of our career development program at Adage Technologies is our commitment to performance reviews. Each employee receives a performance review on a yearly basis, coinciding with the anniversary of their start date. Each review includes an employee self evaluation, an evaluation from the supervisor, and a meeting to discuss the employee’s performance. At this time, each employee is eligible for a raise based on their performance over the previous year.
