The Need
Goodman Theatre has been a part of Chicago culture for over 80 years, presenting the works of local, national and international artists. As part of a marketing overhaul the Goodman team wished to fully redesign their website, modify the organization, and implement a content management system that would give the Goodman team more website control.
The Solution
Using the EPiServer platform, Goodman Theatre staff can now edit the website as details change, keeping patrons up to date with show information and eliminating the often stressful process of waiting on an IT professional to enter content. Uploading searchable media, such as show trailers, behind the scenes videos and photos, news articles, reviews, blogs, event photos, and press releases is now easier than ever before.
New cross-linking and search capabilities let patrons to quickly find photos, videos, news and more for favorite plays and actors. Searching for a specific show or actor reveals a wealth of multimedia content, complete with clickable tabs for biographies, photos, videos, blog posts, news articles and upcoming events. These cross-references throughout the site allow visitors to experience a media rich playbill before and after any performance.
As before, Goodman Theatre patrons will continue to enjoy features like selecting your own seat, subscription renewals, making donations, and renewing memberships all online with the rebranded version of the site.
