The Need
Cornerstone Appraisal specializes in high-value home appraisals for the insurance industry. With a workforce dispersed across the country, Cornerstone was using a Microsoft Access database to track appraisal assignments from their headquarters in Valparaiso, IN. They needed an application to track appraisal requests from receipt to completion that all employees in the company could access.
The Solution
Cornerstone selected Adage to build a web-based workflow application. The system accepts requests from Cornerstone clients via a web service. Requests are assigned to appraisers based on zip code assignment zones. Appraisers are then notified via email of their assignment and login into the system to check details of the assignment and complete the appraisal.
Upon completion, an appraisal is submitted and ready for review by Cornerstone reviewers. As status changes are made, the appraisal moves through the process defined by Cornerstone to completion where the client is notified of the final status and given the ability to login and download the appraisal report. The system includes three secure sections for clients, appraisers, and the Cornerstone administrative staff.
