Five Star Audio Visual
The Need
Five Star is an audio visual rental company. Five Star rents audio and video equipment to hotels and confernence centers for meetings, trade shows, and training. Most Five Star services are delivered to over 40 sites nationwide on-site by field staff far from Chicago-based headquarters. Five Star needed an application that would allow them to not only manage AV rentals at the remote locations but track hours, provide quotes, invoice, and provide location and company roll up reporting.
The Solution
Five Star chose Adage to consolidate a number of different systems and databases including numerous remote location Microsoft Access databases, a DOS system, and spreadsheets. The new system not only centralizes data into one data repository but also allows the remote field staff, management, customers, and adminstrative personnel to interface with the same data in real time. The remote staff create quotes, convert quotes into work orders, and upon completion invoice customers. Reports are generated by customer, location, and at the company level for daily, monthly and annual actual revenues. Additionally, management can forecast revenues based on booked business entered into the system.
