The Solution
Adage was selected to revamp the catalog structure of the site, redesign the overall look-and-feel of the web site, and add a configurator to the product selection process. Adage worked with the engineering group to define the new catalog structure and ported it from Microsoft Access to Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
Additional improvements include a redesign that focused on the user experience with visual navigation for those customers that want to browse the catalog. For users that know the product they want to find, the search was enhanced to quickly find and display these items. Related products are shown as the user visits the product details page.
Finally, Adage was selected to host the new web site on a dedicated server.
