The Solution
Adage was selected to re-design the site both visually and technically. We began by inspecting the current data model and interviewing ICOE administrators. It was determined that getting to opportunities posted on the site were not easily accessed. Additionally, conducting searched of any type were time consuming and confusing.
Modeling the site after a job site, Adage designed the site to allow opportunity posters and position seekers obvious choices directly from the home page. Additionally, primary sponsors were given dedicated space on the home page.
Technically, Adage rearchitected the data model and site structure. Using the Microsoft .NET framework, Adage added specific login sections for Seekers, Listers, and administrative personnel. By segmenting the different views, the user can quickly ascertain their options once logged in resolving a problem of listers/seekers not able to complete a listing or application due to confusion.
