Shedd Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world and the most popular cultural destination in Chicago, needed to showcase a vast collection of aquatic life and give guests new ways of interacting with a deep archive of photos, stories, research and more. 

Adage built the Shedd a new website using the EPiServer content management system that is both easy for users to navigate and easy for their staff to update.

The Solution

With a mutual focus on providing a higher level of guest service and furthering Shedd’s mission, Adage built a website that utilizes personalized communication, connects users with more engaging content and streamlines the ability for guests to create custom itineraries for their trip using new Plan a Visit functionality.

Now, each Shedd guest is able to build a rich, rewarding package to fit their unique needs and purchase tickets directly on the website, while Shedd staff is able to control all content within its custom EPiServer content management system.

The Shedd Aquarium website won a 2014 Gold MarCom Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals and a 2014 Silver W3 Award from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.
