Founded by Randall Kline in 1983 under the name Jazz in the City, SFJAZZ has become the world’s leading cultural institution devoted to jazz and related forms of music, presenting over 300 performances each year at the new SFJAZZ Center and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

SFJAZZ met with Adage at the Tessitura Conference in 2016 to discuss their organization’s goals: to establish a modern marketing platform that’s on par with it’s wordclass, award, winning venue architecture and move the organization to an agile mindset that better matches the collaborative spirit of jazz.

Adage worked closely with stakeholders from across the organization: marketing, operations, technology, box office, and development all took an active role in providing guidance and feedback. Adage met with a core team of stakeholders in on-site discovery workshops to establish a guiding vision for the project.
